Does Florida Fine Cars sell my information?

Not for money. We do disclose some information to advertising and analytics partners in exchange for insights, advertising, and other services. Several state privacy laws treat exchanges like those as a “sale” even when no money changes hands, and as “sharing” when the purpose is advertising that follows you across other sites and apps.

So the honest answer is: no cash changes hands, and yes, these laws still give you the right to stop it. This page is how.

Does Florida Fine Cars share my information for targeted advertising?

Yes. To show you relevant vehicles, Florida Fine Cars and its advertising partners collect information about what you look at and what that suggests you are interested in. If you view a three-row SUV here, we may combine that with your activity elsewhere and use it to show you similar vehicles the next time you visit Florida Fine Cars or another site entirely.

Opting out stops that.

What actually changes when I opt out?

We stop disclosing information we recognize as yours to third parties for their own use, and we stop using or disclosing it to target advertising to you based on your activity across Florida Fine Cars and other sites.

You will still see ads on other sites — they simply will not be selected using your Florida Fine Cars activity. You will still see vehicles and prices on Florida Fine Cars, and the site keeps working exactly as it did.

Opting out is free, and we will not treat you differently for asking. No denied vehicle, no different price, no lower level of service.

Which method should I use?

Submit the form at the bottom of this page — recommended. This attaches the opt-out to your records rather than to one browser, so it holds across your devices and survives clearing your cookies. Email is the only field we need; everything else is optional, and you do not need a Florida Fine Cars account.

Turn on a browser opt-out signal — no contact details needed. If your browser or an extension sends Global Privacy Control, we honor it automatically as an opt-out for that browser. You do not have to fill in anything or tell us who you are.

Or email privacy@floridafinecars.com with the subject “Do Not Sell,” telling us the email, phone number, or account you use with us so we can find you.

Cookie Preferences is a different control. It governs what gets collected in your browser, which is not the same question as whether information is sold or shared, so changing cookie settings alone does not opt you out.

What if I clear my cookies or use another device?

A browser-level opt-out — including one set by Global Privacy Control — is remembered in a cookie on that browser. Clear your cookies, switch browsers, pick up your phone, or use the Florida Fine Cars app, and that opt-out will not follow you. You would need to set it again in the new place.

This is the reason to use the form if you want the choice to stick. An opt-out attached to your records is not tied to one browser and does not disappear when a cookie does.

How quickly does it take effect, and how long does it last?

We stop selling and sharing as soon as we can, and no later than 15 business days after we receive your request.

We also pass the request on to the third parties we shared your information with after you submitted it, and direct them to honor it and forward it to anyone they disclosed it to.

It does not expire. We will not ask you to consent to selling or sharing again for at least 12 months.

Can someone submit this for me?

Yes. An authorized agent can submit on your behalf, and we will ask them for written permission signed by you. An agent using a Global Privacy Control signal does not need to provide that.

We will not put you through identity verification for an opt-out. We may ask for what we need to find you in our records — no more than that — and where we can act without it, we will.

Where do these rights come from?

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, and Texas have the right to opt out of targeted advertising and to have a universal opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control honored automatically.

Other states with consumer privacy laws — Florida, Utah and Virginia among them — give the right to opt out of targeted advertising without all of them requiring universal signals to be recognized. We apply an opt-out submitted here wherever you live.
