What we are aiming at
Florida Fine Cars aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across floridafinecars.com, in English and in Spanish. That is the standard courts and regulators generally look to, and it is the one we test against.
We are not claiming the site is perfect. Buying a car online involves long forms, uploaded documents and signature flows, and those are exactly the places accessibility problems hide. This page says what we actually do about it and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.
How we test
Automated accessibility checks run against the site as part of our build, using axe-core — the open-source engine behind most accessibility tooling. A build that introduces a critical or serious violation fails; it does not ship and then get fixed later.
Those checks cover the pages people actually transact on, not just the home page: browsing and vehicle detail, the full buy flow from vehicle selection through financing, F&I products, trade-in, registration, title, e-signature and delivery, the financing application at every stage, and the account and welcome areas. They run in English and Spanish.
Automated testing has limits. It reliably catches contrast, labelling, landmark and keyboard-order failures; it cannot tell whether a screen-reader announcement makes sense, or whether a flow is usable end to end. Those need people, and they are where your feedback matters most.
We do not use an accessibility overlay
Some sites install a third-party widget that promises to make them accessible. We have chosen not to, deliberately.
We would rather repair the underlying pages than paint over them.
Where we know we fall short
Some vehicle photography and third-party media arrive from suppliers without descriptive alternative text, and we are working through that inventory.
Some embedded third-party components — mapping, payment and signature providers — are not fully under our control. Where a supplier's component blocks a task, tell us and we will provide the same service another way while we press the supplier.
Documents supplied by lenders and government agencies may not meet the same standard as the pages around them. Ask us and we will read one to you or provide an accessible alternative.
Tell us when something blocks you
Email customercare@floridafinecars.com or call 1-305-384-6400 1-305-384-6400. Tell us the page and what you were trying to do; you do not need to know the technical name for the problem.
